On Monday afternoon, September 12, a multi-vehicle crash caused several injuries.
According to Omaha police, the accident happened near 33rd after Mark Lea of Council Bluffs, Iowa ran a stop sign at Ames Avenue. Having run the stop sign, Lea’s Chevy Blazer was hit on its driver’s side by a westbound Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Blazer then collided with a Nissan Quest minivan. Due to the force of the collisions, the Blazer flipped and Lea was ejected. Lea’s passenger, Scott Harris of Omaha was also injured. They were both taken to CHI Creighton University Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
There were two people in the Nissan Quest Minivan, neither of who were wearing seat belts and they were taken to the same hospital and their injuries are also non-life threatening.
There were three occupants in the Jeep Grand Cherokee, all of who were restrained and they were all uninjured.
